You can take your theory test as soon as you have your provisional license. You can learn to drive at the same time as preparing for your theory test, however you must have a theory test pass certificate before you can book a practical driving test.

The theory test consists of two parts; Part One - Multiple Choice Questions and Part Two - Hazard Perception Test.

To prepare properly for these tests you will need the correct source material, consisting of official DSA books, DVD and CD-ROM

The cost is £31 and the waiting time can be 2-4 weeks.
